Two accomplished culinary professionals with over 30 years of combined experience in culinary arts, business, and leadership. Chef Devin Marie, a CDM, CFPP, and the visionary behind Café Devine Catering, brings a wealth of expertise in food service management and catering excellence. Joining her is Chef TaCarla, a former nurse with 13 years of experience, now a holistic food chef and owner of Encore Catering, specializing in nourishing, health-conscious cuisine. Both chefs are proud members of the Mobile Chapter of the American Culinary Federation (ACF) and are excited to launch their new healthy food concept café, blending their passion for wholesome ingredients and community-focused dining. Fueled by their shared vision and faith, Devin and TaCarla embarked on the journey to establish Fresh Fruit Café, a restaurant that would stand as a beacon of nourishment for the mind, body, and spirit. Guided by Psalm 107:9, they committed themselves to creating a space where people could not only enjoy delicious, fresh, and wholesome food but also find a sense of peace and fulfillment. Executive Chef TaCarla Freeman, an United States Army Veteran, of remarkable determination and talent, began her professional journey in the healthcare field. For 13 years, she dedicated herself to nursing, providing compassionate care to countless patients. Despite her success in nursing, TaCarla harbored a long-standing passion for culinary arts.
